Balciana 2017 is once again a winner and this time the award is 5 Grappoli by the Guida Bibenda (edition 2020) of the Fondazione Italiana Sommelier. The 2017 vintage of Balciana is still a preview, which will be available just in few months.

We are really glad to again share with you some important scores we received with two of our wines. The 2017 Tralivio was awarded 88 points and the Sartarelli Brut 87 points by Wine & Spirits, an important US magazine and guide book about wines. Thank you for continuing to follow us!

With its 2017 vintage, a preview that will be ready in a few months, Balciana has won the Corona prize assigned by the Italian guidebook Vinibuoni d’Italia 2020 of the Touring Club, the only guide to the best wines from native grapes of Italy. Another great success for a wine which never ceases to amaze us.

A special edition of Balciana at last. The 2014 vintage was great for Balciana, with its typical intense and persuasively charming notes, and in particular a very evident note above all the others, saffron. Now, for the first time, this older vintage is available as limited edition. The 2014 vintage has also been the protagonist of an interesting article on Balciana and its vertical tasting back of 9 vintages by Ian D’Agata at Vinous (vinous.com).
