This wine is produced from very carefully selected grapes, where the thinning out of the grapes is usually done to reduce the production to 80-90 q. grapes per hectare.
Harvested in small crates, the soft pressing and the control of temperature during fermentation means that the grapes are cared for in the old traditional way.
Lively and vibrant in colour, with a high alcoholic content providing it with strength and character.
It has a light and inviting aroma and a well-balanced flavour, it's a wine in evolution.
The yearly production of this selected wine is of about 90.000 bottles.

The Balciana is available in Sartarelli's bottles of 375 ml and 750 ml, and magnum bottle of 1.5 liters.
It is also available in a wood single box.

Our wines in a menu
Of an intense straw yellow colour. Refined and elegant aroma with notes of white fruits . A well balanced crisp white wine with a long finish.
It goes well with complex white meat and fish dishes, such as "brodetto" (a kind of fish soup), mushrooms, "agnello alla cacciatora" (lamb fricassee), rabbit and chicken "in potacchio" (a local dish) and medium-seasoned cheese.
