The Logo

Our unique S, Sartarelli symbol, together with the Zero mean the commitment of our company to cultivate “while de-polluting” the environment.
Our wines contain no residual chemicals.

Why Zero?

Residual Zero is the key word. This word literally means sustainability, i.e. to obtain healthy products by respecting both the environment (ecofriendly) and the consumers’ health.
Residual Zero is a method of cultivation, an integrated fighting system which combines technology with natural products (the resistance inducers), to ensure that no residues of synthetic chemical molecules are found either in the primary products (the grapes) or in the finished products (the wines).

We feel Pioneers

In this field we feel we are Pioneers. In 2013, our company started our path of research and development applying it, at first, on a small plot until we have gradually extended it to all of our vineyards.
The realization of Our work in the vineyards and in the winery has enabled us to draw up strict internal guide lines, which have been certified and which have led to a new awareness of Land-Vine-Man, forming one single living organism.

The Realization Process

During the first vegetative phase of the vine, before the blooming period, we still use phytofarmaceuticals. Later, when the grapes begin to sprout, we use exclusively resistance inducers, which are advanced technical products and natural extracts, the result of a long accurate research process. And it is during this phase that the resistance inducers derived from herbs, algae and yeasts come into force. They simulate a disease in such a way that the plant feels and recognizes the disease attack and it immediately starts reacting by rapidly protecting itself with no need of external help.
The resistance inducers are very important to us as they play a determining role in our vineyards. Their use means, in the first place, the vine is considered a living being able to react actively in its environment against disease attacks and, in the second place, there is no longer any need for synthetic plant protection products.

The Results

Consequently, we can see an improvement in the agroecosystem vine. This means a higher quality of the grape bunches with a respective increase of natural antioxidants in the wines, fermentation processes taking place smoothly, and the total absence of residual chemicals (o.oo1 mg/kg, here the number 1 is due to the measuring instrumental limits) as a guarantee for the final consumers that they are drinking a healthy, safe and chemical free product.

This whole procedure is certified by RINA AGROQ (Certificate No. AG/PRD/20/97).
Land-Vine-Man benefit from the positive effect of this special way of running the vineyards, called Sartarelli.ZERO.
For this reason, we feel Pioneerstoday and… tomorrow.
